Splash Pump
Operation
Splash lubrication systems work by using rod dippers that pass through the oil in the crankcase when the pistons are moving and splash the oil up onto the cylinders and pistons to lubricate them. Although this method is effective, it’s not precise. Parts of the pump may not be receiving enough oil. Where there is not enough oil, wear between critical components can become a costly issue. On the other hand, too much oil can also be an issue.
Viscosity
Viscosity of the oil becomes important with the splash method as well. If the oil is not thick enough, it will not cling to the dippers as needed. So, although effective, it is becoming an outdated method.
History
Traditional splash lubrication systems have been around since the first air compressor was produced.
Silent Air
Noise Reduction
Our Patented Silent Air system works by dissipating compressor intake noise through a series of noise cancellation plates, reducing DBA ratings by up to 50%. Silent air compressors operate at a normal conversation level in comparison to traditional compressors that operate at the level of a police siren.
Air Filtration
This low-profile system not only makes the compressor quieter but also adds four levels of air filtration.
Silent Air Technology
- Significantly lowers the risk of hearing damage
- Decrease in employee turnover
- Enhances workplace satisfaction
Belt Drive
Our belt-driven compressors are driven by V belts that allow you to adjust the pump speeds by changing pulley sizes.
Piston Warranty
Eaton Compressor backs all our piston air compressors with the best extended warranty in the industry. With our extended warranty, we don’t ask you to buy a service plan; we just ask that you purchase and use our oil and filters. This ensures the correct oil and filters are being used to keep your piston air compressor running for years to come. We have three different extended warranty options to choose from so you can pick what best suits your company’s needs. Make sure to research and ask questions when comparing warranty information. Be certain when you buy that you are getting a full warranty. Our trained service and support team is ready to assist you if you ever need them, and we carry a full line of air compressor replacement parts.
