Our Mission

The business landscape changes rapidly with the evolution of technology across all industry sectors. Our mission addresses the compressor industry at a local and international level.

Our goal at PenryAir is to bring energy education and savings to the air compressor community using current industry standards such as IIOT (Industry Internet of Things), Industry 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence.

Our focus is primarily on air compressors, which is the heart of every manufacturing company and otherwise known as the third utility. PenryAir is here to assist customers in building the best air system solution for their situation. We learn, evaluate, educate and create a plan together with our clients to reach max energy efficiency and lower operating costs.

History

PenryAir is the ecommerce arm of parent company Omaha Pneumatic Equipment Company (OPEC). OPEC was the sister company to Air Power of Nebraska before it was sold to Atlas Copco on November of 2016. William Penry was the President of Air Power for 40 years and is the current President of OPEC. He opened the doors to Omaha Pneumatic over 30 years ago. His goal was to implement the absolute best compressed air system based on a company’s needs. Bill instilled the importance of being an educator to our client base on the current standards of technology and industrial machinery. OPEC has continued serving the Midwest region to this day. However, the changing landscape of how customer choose to business has allowed the birth of PenryAir.

Casey Penry, son of William Penry, explored interest in taking over one the family business through extensive research about the state of the industry and began planting the seed of what to do next.

Casey teamed up with his sister, Kelly Penry to dive into the world of air compressors and IIOT. Kelly’s is a global leader who has overseen acquisitions for some of the world’s top companies. Some of which include Arthur Andersen, the Tribune Company, United Airlines and West Monroe Partners.

A few years ago, they traveled to COMVAC tradeshow in Hanover Germany for a week. They had the opportunity to explore and see what the future landscape of the air compressor industry will look like and believed that educating clients and IOT are necessary components in today’s market. Casey began to build alliances with European counterparts to offer customers a higher standard of technology and equipment standards on a global scale.

It is very confusing for anyone to make an educated decision in the US market which is oversaturated with air compressor players. Larger companies have the advantage of marketing budgets to try and capture prospects searching for information.

Casey set out to create an e-commerce platform that would primarily focus on educating customer in a diplomatic way to allow customers to find the right solution. Penry Air was founded as a platform to educate the air compressor consumer in a non-biased way about the leading trends and fundamentals and ways to save money with a focus on energy efficiency and technology.
